In 1981, after working for architectural firms in Chicago, New York, and Kentucky, Richard C. Ekhoff, and Paul Ochenkoski founded the firm that is known today as EOP Architects. Richard Polk joined the firm in 1984, bringing with him design skills, technical competency, and management tools that resulted in a partnership position in 1989. In 2006, architect Brent Bruner and interior designer Chris Estes were promoted to the positions of principal.
Each partner brings a unique area of specialization to the company, rounding out the overall management team and its ability to meet or exceed client expectations. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, EOP is currently registered, and has completed projects, in more than 30 states. Our systematic and steady growth in the architectural marketplace has been based upon client diversification, design response, and technical execution.
