The Henry Clay High School Connector project provides an enclosed, accessible connection between the school’s two main buildings: the high school and the student center. This allows the entire school to be locked down for security with all students inside one building. A small enclosed corridor and a large connector will house an accessible ramp, surrounded by an existing outdoor courtyard area which will have stepped seating for outdoor classes or theatrical performances. The design allows for the completion of an existing student project to design and provide new landscaping in the existing courtyard while meeting the requirements for a secure environment.
